Ann Landry

Ann Landry, a dedicated and influential figure in the world of Highland dance, has made significant contributions to the Bathurst community through her Landry School of Highland Dance. With 40 years of teaching experience, including 25 years in Bathurst, Ann has been a cornerstone in promoting and developing Highland dance in the region. She founded the Landry School of Dance in Miramichi in 1989 and later established its Bathurst branch in 1999 after relocating with her family. Ann's commitment extends beyond teaching; she is also an administrator, choreographer, and fundraiser. Her expertise is recognized internationally, as she is only the third person from New Brunswick to become an official Board Highland dance judge on the World Panel. Ann's dedication to her craft and her community has fostered a thriving Highland dance culture in Bathurst, making her a deserving candidate for the Bathurst Sports Hall of Fame.
Bill Meahan

Bill Meahan's illustrious career as a referee and sports builder in Bathurst spans over five decades. Starting at age 15, Bill quickly became a prominent figure in hockey officiating, known for his exceptional skating and deep understanding of the game. He achieved the prestigious Level VI Hockey Referee designation, making him one of only two in New Brunswick to do so. His contributions extended beyond hockey; he was a respected baseball umpire and served as the umpire-in-chief for the northern zone for over 20 years. Bill officiated at various levels, including Maritime University league games and provincial and national championships in both hockey and baseball. Bill's dedication to sports also saw him coaching soccer and volleyball, and founding the Junior High School Sports Association in Bathurst. His mentorship helped shape future NHL referee Ghislain Hebert. Bill's commitment, character, and leadership have left an indelible mark on the Bathurst sports community.
Paul Theriault

Paul Theriault has devoted over 40 years to sports and community service in Bathurst. His coaching career spans multiple sports, including soccer, ringette, pro basketball, volleyball, and softball, with national certifications in soccer and ringette. He led teams to provincial and national championships and served as manager and assistant coach for the Chaleur AAA U18 Girls at the Canadian U-18 Soccer Championship. Paul coached Team NB at the National Canadian Ringette Championships twice. As a volunteer, he played key roles in the Nigadoo Richelieu Sportsplex Turf project and the 2003 Canada Winter Games. He was Bathurst’s Recreation and Tourism Director, organizing an NHL preseason game. Paul helped establish a Pro-Basketball team in the city. Paul’s volunteerism extends to the Bathurst Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee and the Club Richelieu Bathurst Social Club. His dedication to sports and community makes him a deserving inductee into the Bathurst Sports Hall of Fame.
