Street Widening Operation

The City of Bathurst Public Works Department will be clearing right-of-ways (streets) over the next two weeks, including during March Break.

This is essential to help address drainage issues that could lead to premature road deterioration, improve pedestrian safety, enhance motorists’ visibility when approaching intersections and leaving driveways, and ensure sufficient space for effective curb-to-curb snow removal.

For everyone’s safety:

• Keep children away from large snowbanks and road edges, especially during this operation and while crews are working.
• Remove all personal items and obstacles from the curb so our crews can work safely and efficiently. Damage to the equipment can be costly and will cause operational delays.
