Passing of former City Councillor Ronald "Ron" Louden

The City of Bathurst mourns the passing of former City Councillor and Deputy Mayor Ronald "Ron" Louden, on Saturday July 13th, 2024.

A vibrant and engaged community member, Mr. Louden served as City Councillor and Deputy Mayor during the 1986-1989 term.

An entrepreneur for most of his life, he was well known for his love for the outdoors; a wonderful complement to his career as a Federal Fisheries and Oceans officer for over 25 years.

We offer our sincere condolences to his wife Gail, his children — James, Sean, Lindsay, Patrick and Trish — and their families.

In honor of former Councillor / Deputy Mayor Ron Louden, all flags at City facilities will be at half mast until Monday July 22nd.
