Centre des Jeunes Bathurst Youth Centre
Mandate:
The mandate of the Bathurst Youth Centre is to offer structured programs that are directed toward resolving specific problems faced by youth as well as providing counseling, educational, recreational and social activities in a supervised setting. As well, the Centre provides assistance to youth in preparing for job interviews, searching for employment and proper job etiquette. The Bathurst Youth Centre gives our youth a place to meet and enjoy leisure activities in a healthy, secure and fun environment. This environment meets the interests and needs of today's young people. We offer dances, concerts, variety shows, a café, pool tables and games area, organized sports, activities and programs. Counseling services and assistance with employment are also available. Any other activity or service that young people desire is definitely deemed priority.

Regional Service Commission
RSC-3 Solid Waste Management
The Nepisiguit-Chaleur Solid Waste Commission provides waste management services. This includes the recovery of recyclables, household hazardous waste, electronic wastes, batteries, compact fluorescent bulbs, scrap metals and tires. The Commission organizes workshops in local schools and communities to help make the population more aware of the importance of protecting the environment, getting involved with the community and participating in available environmental programs. The Nepisiguit-Chaleur Solid Waste Commission also manages the Red Pine landfill site, a modern landfill installation that complies with the most stringent environmental standards. Located in Allardville, the Red Pine site accepts solid waste from municipalities all over north-eastern New Brunswick.
Snow Bears Cross Country Ski Club
The Snow Bears Cross Country Ski Club is proud to provide top quality trails. Twenty km of freshly groomed trails ready for either classic or freestyle techniques. Difficulty ranges from beginners to experts. Ski trails are accessible from the Nepisiguit River Company at 1015, St.-Anne Street (highway 11, exit 308). A room is available at Nepisiguit River Company during hours of operations to warm up after skiing. Washroom is also available on site. The Snow Bears Cross Country Ski Club encourages you to make the most of our winter. See you on the ski trails!

Many young adults live and work in the Chaleur region there was no group or “network” to bring these youth together. Founding members of Synergies knew that it was time to act. Synergies Chaleur will have monthly social activities and a variety of events for all interests.
Tourism New-Brunswick
UNB-Bathurst for Advanced Studies
This centre is an outreach arm of UNB's College of Extended Learning. We offer online courses and nursing elective credit courses that are open to the general public. UNB hopes to offer first-year face to face university courses in September, 2009. We provide general and customized professional development courses and also personal interest courses.
