Mayor for a day (Contest)

Mayor for a day (Contest)
  September 08, 2023

This year, as part of Municipality Week, the City of Bathurst is having a "Mayor for a day" contest for students of grade 4 to 8.

The winner will spend a day (September 18) with Mayor Kim Chamberlain and play a key role in a flag raising ceremony, visit multiple City services (police, fire, Public Works, etc.), tour City Hall, and more. It's a great learning opportunity for a young leader in the making!

TO PARTICIPATE:

  • The student writes a short essay about the great things they would do if they were the Mayor of Bathurst.
  • A parent (or guardian) sends the answer by email to clerk@bathurst.ca — or deliver it in person to City Hall!
  • (Parents/guardians: please include the child's name, your name, and a phone number to help us reach out to the winner)

Submit your entry before 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 14. The winner will selected at random and will be contacted on September 15.
