CLOUDY WATER ISSUES – DOWNTOWN AND MANOR PARK (EAST BATHURST)

CLOUDY WATER ISSUES – DOWNTOWN AND MANOR PARK (EAST BATHURST)
  August 22, 2023

The City of Bathurst advises residents / businesses of the following two situations:

DOWNTOWN BATHURST

Cloudy water issues have appeared on the 300-500 block of Main Street, and is filtering into other downtown streets. This is because of underground vibrations from the Storm Sewer installation work in progress on Main Street.

Crews are actively flushing lines in the Downtown area to clear out the lines. Residents and business can expect to see the situation back to normal in the early evening.

MANOR PARK / EAST BATHURST AREA

Water line flushing operations were activated for the Manor Park section of East Bathurst. Leftover sedimentation may be left in the lines because of flushing operations.

Residents / businesses possibly affected in both areas are advised to refrain from washing laundry and to periodically check their water quality by running COLD WATER for 10-15 minutes to verify if the water has cleared up.

The City of Bathurst regrets any inconvenience.
