No swimming at Youghall Beach until further notice

The City of Bathurst informs residents and tourists that, as per New Brunswick Public Health, a no-swimming advisory has been issued for Youghall Beach.

Water quality test results show the presence of enterococci bacteria above acceptable levels for recreational waters. Updates will be provided on the status of the advisory when the city is informed by Public Health.

For people who have bathed in the waters of the beach, it is recommended to wash their hands and face with hot soapy water, or take a shower or a bath.

The City of Bathurst regrets any inconvenience and appreciates the cooperation of residents and tourists to respect the Public Health notice.
